Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at HOPE Clinic. As a Medical Assistant Floater, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care by performing various clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient clinic operations.
  • Assist with administering vaccinations, conducting laboratory tests, and providing patient education on healthy habits and disease prevention.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols and HIPAA standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, staff training, and weekly team huddles to enhance clinical skills and stay up-to-date on best practices.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required; willingness to obtain certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably as a Medical Assistant; knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic office equipment essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required; strong written and oral communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing multiple tasks and managing competing demands in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting health equity, with a focus on addressing health disparities and improving outcomes for underserved communities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional flexibility to cover shifts and support urgent patient needs.

Salary Range

$15-$18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
