Nurse Anesthetist Position

At the University of Texas Health Science Center, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Anesthetist to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology.

Job Summary

This role involves providing professional nursing services by administering anesthesia to surgical patients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing and administering anesthetic agents, as well as monitoring patients during procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Preparing and formulating plans for anesthetic management
  • Monitoring patients' physiological and psychological factors
  • Providing clinical supervision and guidance to students and medical professionals
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia and be certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). You should also possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

This role requires working in a hospital setting and may involve standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using various medical equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
