Hiring Winners is seeking a skilled Automotive Operations Director to lead our service and repair team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Service Manager – Automotive. As our new Service Manager, you will be responsible for directing activities related to the service and repair of client vehicles, coordinating the acquisition of automotive equipment, and maintaining our operations and maintenance facilities in top working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily one-on-one meetings with each ASM to identify potential service issues and develop strategies for resolution.
  • Monitor automotive repair/maintenance to prevent operational delays and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Work closely with the Service Director to set departmental objectives and implement action plans to achieve them.
  • Recruit, interview, and train service staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales and production data, as required by upper management.
  • Review and evaluate service sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Staff technical teams relative to production requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Stay current on new products and changes to existing products to provide expert advice and support to customers.
  • Maintain department finances within established parameters to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Ensure proper repair-order flow and maximize productivity to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Monitor and control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Administer payroll for service staff in cooperation with the payroll department, securing approval from the Service Director and General Manager.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to assess employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Participate in operational planning to develop and implement strategies for growth and development.
  • Maintain the facility and equipment to ensure they are in good working order and meet customer expectations.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in automotive operations. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of automotive operations, including repair and maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
  • The ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
