Job Title: Quality Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at Apollo Professional Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards are upheld in the sourcing and manufacture of products that support the Aerospace & Defense industry. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 requirements • Lead and facilitate shop floor quality improvement activities, including conducting floor audits and training machinists on effective inspection techniques • Investigate and resolve material review board (MRB) issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation • Facilitate corrective action and preventive action (CAPA) activities, including monitoring and tracking open CAPA activities • Maintain quality control and inspection objectives, coordinating with manufacturing personnel to maximize product quality and minimize costs • Read and interpret customer drawings, including GD&T and multi-level bills of materials • Perform advanced manual inspections using precision measuring equipment and visual product inspections as required • Solve practical problems in situations where limited standardization exists • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration • Create and refine manufacturing work instructions and quality inspection plans • Review and approve first piece inspection (FPI) and final acceptance inspection (FAI) workflows • Review final inspection reports and drawing/specification change requests as required • Record, trend, and present quality performance/SPC data where applicable • Create and refine process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA) • Lead customer escape containment and root cause corrective action using advanced problem-solving techniques • Provide training to employees on quality-related topics • Interface with customer quality and engineering representatives • Confer with leadership to formulate fiscal budgets within approved limits • Review company purchase orders for conformance to customer requirements concerning quality inspection requirements • Work with suppliers to obtain information related to quality, capacity, and vendor/subcontractor quality standards • Conduct source inspections and schedule contracted source inspections as necessary • Audit internal and supplier processes as necessary • Make final decisions on product acceptability Requirements: • PC literate in a Windows environment • Detailed AS9100 requirements • Demonstrated experience with precision measuring equipment • ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate) preferred • 5-15 years of relevant quality engineering experience in the Aerospace and/or Machining industry • Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for manufactured product inspection Personal Qualifications: • Self-starter, self-motivated, flexible, and organized • Reliable, dependable, honest with good integrity, team player with a positive customer service attitude • Professional demeanor, respectful to people in all situations, enjoys fast-paced and rapidly changing environments, and willing to help others as needs and tasks change often Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
