Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at McLaren Health Care, you will be responsible for producing high-quality computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas consistent with established policies and procedures. This role requires general supervision and involves working with patients to foster a sense of comfort and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Obtains patient history and explains standard procedures to ensure patient comfort and confidence.
Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment, including tomography scanner equipment.
Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to capture the requested images.
Properly identifies, prepares, and/or administers medications within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
Certified as CT Technologist or willing to cross-train from another ARRT modality within 12 months.
Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in radiology.
Certified as CT Technologist.
