As a Respiratory Therapist PRN, you will provide respiratory care to patients as ordered by physicians, and according to established standards and practices. This role requires a strong understanding of the cardiopulmonary system and the ability to work under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver clinical care to patients, utilizing standards and practices, and in accordance with the hospital mission and vision.
- Work under limited supervision, following written and oral communication.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of biopsychosocial and spiritual aspects of human behavior, ranging from newborns to geriatrics.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, demonstrating empathy and unconditional positive regard.
- Establish measurable yearly goals and objectives, promoting positive customer relations.
- Comply with organizational requirements, including policies, procedures, and regulations specific to the Respiratory Care Department.
- Provide flexibility in schedule to meet the needs of patients, community, and staff.
- Participate in performance improvement to improve patient outcomes.
- Perform age-specific therapy, demonstrating awareness of safety and care for each age group.
- Able to effectively perform patient handling procedures to ensure patient safety and employee safety.
