Job Overview

Soliant is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction and Support:

    • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment.

  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with general education teachers and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
    • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and needs.
    • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational goal development.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay current with best practices in special education.
    • Attend professional development workshops and trainings as required.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
    • Prepare reports as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education and Certification:
    • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Valid Minnesota Special Education Certification (Teacher of Students with Disabilities or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience working in special education.
    • Experience with various disabilities and learning challenges.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet student needs.
  • Estimated Salary Range:$65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
