Job Summary

PDQ Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team in De Pere. As a key member of our Fabrication department, you will be responsible for performing fabrication processes that vary in complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment within the Fabrication department, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Perform all basic preventative maintenance on associated equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of established Standard Operating Procedures, adhering to company policies and protocols.
  • Communicate and coordinate part shortages with Team Leaders and Production Supervisors, ensuring seamless production flow.
  • Adhere to all safety and PPE requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the company, driving innovation and growth.
Advanced Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and/or aisle stackers to transport/relocate inventory or product, enhancing production efficiency.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with applicable technical training or experience considered for advanced assignments.
  • Blueprint reading skills are preferred, with the ability to apply basic math skills, specifically with fractions and decimals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is essential, with the ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
Quality and Safety:
  • Initiate action to prevent non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Physical Demands:

The employee will be regularly required to stand for long periods, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Salary Range: $19/hr - $24/hr
