About the Role:

This position plays a key role in the learning and development of the workforce at United Alloy, a leading brand in metal fabrication and powder coating. The Workforce Development Specialist will be responsible for creating and logging training records, creating learning plans and/or training content for employees, and maintaining United Alloy's Learning Management System (LMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for creating and logging training records.
  • Create learning plans and/or training content for employees as directed by Workforce Development (WFD) Manager.
  • Organize and maintain United Alloy's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Maintain Excel documents used to track training activities and metrics.
  • Be able to facilitate training sessions using PowerPoint, Adobe, and common LMS training tools.
  • Draft prompt and professional communication with management and vendors.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project demands and timelines.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation weekly.
  • Facilitate youth development/community outreach programs as directed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, education or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of training experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with training video production, learning management systems, and/or training program development preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to navigate in a windows-based computer environment.
  • Must be open to working in a wide variety of departments as management directs.
