Marine Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanic to join our team at OneWater Marine. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inspecting, servicing, and repairing marine engines for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

• Engine Performance Testing: Test the performance of marine engines and electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Service and Repair: Carry out services and minor repairs on outboard, inboard, and ship engines, as well as plumbing and intake repairs.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot engine and electrical problems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Component Replacement: Replace broken or worn-out engine parts to maintain the integrity of the marine engine.
• System Maintenance: Conduct electrical AC system maintenance and hydraulic and steering system repairs to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.
• Documentation: Complete service records and repair documents to maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Work Environment: Work on land and at sea, performing tasks that require physical stamina and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Expectations:

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferable), and proven work experience as a Marine Mechanic in a shipyard environment.
• Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of marine engine and electrical auxiliary systems, motorboat engines, hydraulic systems, and high-level welding skills.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, as well as work at sea.
