Job Summary: Discovery Life Sciences is seeking a skilled Histology Technician to contribute to scientific discoveries that impact patient care and medical advancements. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic evaluation using routine histology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure quality of all services, data and information being sent to customer and pathologists
  • Prepare sections of human tissue for microscopic evaluation using routine histology procedures
  • Perform special stains upon request
  • Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory services, IT and project managers to identify, prevent and resolve problems
  • Develop, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards within the FFPE Department

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Board of Certification (BOC) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification Required
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Histology Technician
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
