Job Overview

IT Concepts is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a DOD SOCOM opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining the SIE data architecture and infrastructure design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the technical systems that store, process, disseminate and analyze data.
  • Develop and maintain data management frameworks, including data models, data analytics, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulations by implementing access controls, encryption, and privacy measures.
  • Monitor the health and performance of data systems, identifying and resolving issues to maintain efficiency.
  • Work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to align data strategies with SIE requirements.
  • Oversee the integration and migration of data between systems, ensuring that disparate data sources are unified into a coherent architecture.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architectures, processes, and standards.

Requirements

  • Journeyman level: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Substitutions for education: Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree, or 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in creating logical and physical data models, designing schemas, and architecting data structures that meet complex DoD requirements.
  • Experience with tools/frameworks such as RMF, encryption methods (AES, RSA), access control models (RBAC, ABAC), data anonymization.
  • Strong expertise in integrating data from multiple sources and transforming it for storage and analysis, using ETL frameworks and tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex data challenges and architect solutions that improve system performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work with Teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own.
  • Ability to work fully on-site with minimal accommodation.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have an active DOD TS/SCI clearance.
