Valor Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Williston, ND. Job Description

As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality medical care and personal services to patients with various conditions and injuries, as directed by a supervising physician. You will work collaboratively with the core PACT Team and expanded PACT Team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients under the direction of a supervising physician.
  • Conduct physical examinations to identify symptoms of organic or congenital disorders.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, etc., and interpret test results for deviations from normal.
  • Counsel patients on prescription medication use, educate patients on health maintenance, assess mental health issues, and provide routine health checks.
  • Evaluate patient records from external medical providers and work with these patients according to VA co-management rules.
  • Complete clinical reminders within each patient visit and document medical records within 24 hours of encounters.
  • Comply with VA guidelines for timely responses to patient requests, alerts, and notifications, consults, orders, lab results, and diagnostic studies.
  • Adhere to VA formulary processes and consult protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified candidate who meets the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a graduate program for nurse practitioners (MSN required), including preceptorship.
  • Certification by a relevant professional organization.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience as a CRNP in a primary care or ambulatory care setting, preferably in a government healthcare environment.
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Energetic and optimistic demeanor.

This role is considered safety-sensitive.

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
