At the University of Central Oklahoma, we are committed to providing a quality learning experience for our students. We are currently seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Spanish classes as part of our Modern Languages department.

Job Overview

This is a part-time teaching position that involves teaching classes, advising and mentoring students, evaluating student performance, and maintaining student records in accordance with university policies. As an adjunct faculty member, you will work collaboratively with full- and part-time colleagues to achieve course continuity, assessment, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Spanish language classes at the undergraduate level
  • Develop and implement curriculum aligned with university standards
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
  • Attend yearly training sessions and participate in departmental meetings

Requirements

  • Possesses at least a master's degree in the field specified in the position announcement (exceptions require Academic Affairs approval)
  • Higher education teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Estimated Salary

$45,000 per year, based on a 15-hour weekly schedule
