About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance and Construction Supervisor to oversee maintenance and construction projects across our vibrant campus. This position will primarily work at our Health Science Center, which consists of 31 hospital buildings on UNM North Campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a talented team of technical personnel, guiding them to master their craft and excel in their roles.
  • Coordinate workflows, prioritize assignments, and ensure deadlines are met with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance by inspecting ongoing projects to guarantee adherence to plans and regulations, compiling detailed reports of daily activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with customers, project technicians, and external contractors to streamline operations and achieve timely project completions.
  • Estimate and manage costs independently, assessing job expenses for multi-trade projects and overseeing budget compliance and resource allocation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field, with demonstrated leadership in construction or maintenance environments.
  • Current NM licensure in one or more construction trades disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in multiple relevant trade fields, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across various levels and departments.
