Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physician-Easley Family Medicine Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients, adhering to professional standards of practice, and contributing to a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, prevent, or treat disease, defects, or injuries, and recommend or prescribe treatments for physical, mental, or functional ailments or defects.
  • Rend medical treatment to patients without regard to their ability to pay, race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, or age.
  • Maintain accurate, legible, and timely records of medical examinations and procedures, using Current Procedural Terminology and International Classification of Diseases codes.
  • Provide after-hours call coverage equally with other physicians, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Comply with standards of accepted medical practice, managed care organizations, and payors, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Enhance clinical skills through ongoing continuing medical education to meet certification and/or state licensing board requirements.
  • Participate in non-revenue generating activities that advance the vision and mission of Prisma Health, such as committee work, community outreach, teaching, research, and other activities determined by the Department Chair.
  • Contribute to the establishment of quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, patient education services, and patient satisfaction programs.
  • Assist in obtaining and maintaining licenses, permits, and authorizations necessary for the Practice or Department.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility:

This is a non-management position that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Successful completion of residency; Board certified or Board eligible; Medical staff privileges

Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:

  • South Carolina Medical License
  • South Carolina Controlled Substance License
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Number

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent exposure to infectious diseases and potential workplace violence. Additionally, you may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects, and may be subject to chemical hazards, radiation, and electrical shock.

Salary Range:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $200,000 and $300,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
