We are currently seeking an Advanced Signal Processing Leader to join our team at the Leidos Innovations Center in Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA.

Job Description:

The Senior Signal Processing Engineer will be responsible for leading research, design, and development of signal collection, processing, and dissemination systems. Key duties may include designing, developing, and analyzing systems for extracting information from signal sensors, achieving program objectives, and participating in business development activities.

This role requires superior analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to operate independently with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to establish solid working relationships with technical staff members and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis using simulated and real data in time series and spectral domains
  • Lead technical teams and participate in marketing and business development initiatives
  • Communicate results in briefings and written material to the team, customers, and management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance
  • Fluent in tools such as MATLAB, Linux, Mathematica, Python, Simulink, and languages like C/C++, Java
  • Working knowledge areas including digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection theory, linear algebra, and stochastic processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree
  • Business development and capture experience
  • Experience working in Research and Development environments

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 - $250,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Please note that this figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
