Rushford, a leading provider of addiction and mental health services in Connecticut, is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse Manager to join its team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality patient care and unit operations.

Job Summary

The Senior Mental Health Nurse Manager will supervise patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations while collaborating with functional leadership. This position oversees daily operations, including off-shift supervision of nursing and non-licensed staff, and manages resources, quality improvement, payroll, and colleague schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjust staffing patterns based on changes in care requirements, patient census, and staffing resources.
  • Develop and manage colleagues, providing performance feedback, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations, corrective action, and separations.
  • Manage staffing schedules and payroll, monitoring attendance issues.
  • Promote compliance with Joint Commission and regulatory standards through consistent rounding, tracers, and audits.
  • Assist leadership in investigating patient concerns, key performance indicators (KPIs), colleague health exposures, and compliance issues.
  • Communicate department/leadership decisions and policies to colleagues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Registered Nurse certification in the State of CT and Basic Life Support (BLS) provider credentialed from the American Heart Association.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package consisting of medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, paid time off, and additional voluntary benefits.
