We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.
  • Ensure procedure rooms are adequately prepared for procedures.
  • Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of Cath Lab Tech experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Cardiovascular Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Illinois state license
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
