We are seeking a skilled Quantum Simulation Expert to join our team at Unreal Gigs. As a key member of our simulation development group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced quantum simulators that bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantum programming, simulation frameworks, and mathematical modeling. You will collaborate with physicists, engineers, and software developers to create and refine quantum simulators that enable users to test and refine quantum algorithms without immediate access to quantum hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Quantum Simulation Systems:
    • Develop simulators that accurately emulate quantum behavior, allowing users to simulate complex quantum systems and validate their performance.
  • Optimize Simulators for Scalability and Performance:
    • Enhance the efficiency of simulation frameworks to handle large-scale quantum systems and complex interactions, ensuring seamless scalability and high-performance computing.
  • Develop Tools for Algorithm Testing and Validation:
    • Create features that enable users to test quantum algorithms, analyze their performance, and debug potential issues in a simulated environment, accelerating the development and refinement of quantum algorithms.
  • Collaborate on Hybrid Quantum-Classical Simulations:
    • Design workflows that integrate classical and quantum simulations, enabling comprehensive modeling of hybrid systems and facilitating the transition from theoretical models to practical applications.
  • Incorporate Noise and Hardware Constraints:
    • Integrate realistic noise models and hardware-specific constraints into simulators, providing a more accurate emulation of quantum hardware and enabling users to optimize their algorithms for real-world quantum systems.
  • Work with Quantum Frameworks and Platforms:
    • Contribute to and expand open-source simulation tools like Qiskit Aer, Cirq, or TensorFlow Quantum, enhancing their usability and functionality and fostering collaboration within the quantum simulation community.
  • Stay Updated on Advances in Quantum Simulation:
    • Research emerging trends and incorporate the latest methodologies into simulation platforms, ensuring that tools remain state-of-the-art and aligned with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Quantum Simulation Frameworks: Experience with tools like Qiskit Aer, Cirq, TensorFlow Quantum, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Expertise in Python, C++, or other high-performance languages for simulation development.
  • Knowledge of Quantum Algorithms: Familiarity with quantum algorithms and their computational requirements to design effective simulation environments.
  • Mathematical and Computational Skills: Strong foundation in linear algebra, differential equations, and numerical methods for modeling quantum systems.
  • Understanding of Quantum Hardware: Knowledge of quantum noise models and hardware-specific constraints to create realistic simulation scenarios.

Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
