Job Overview

Cuidado Medico Y Geriatrico Of Quee seeks a skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support.

Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Medical Support: Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations, maintaining a clean and sterile environment.
  • Interviews and Record Keeping: Interview patients to obtain their medical history, accurately recording patient information in patient medical files.
  • Routine Screenings: Perform routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements, blood pressure checks, and draw blood samples as needed.
  • Supply Management: Purchase and maintain supplies and equipment, ensuring a smooth operation of the department.
  • Cleaning and Sterilization: Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of contaminated supplies, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assisting Physicians: Assist physicians during examinations by handing over instruments and materials, ensuring seamless patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: CPR and first aid certification required; certification as a medical assistant (CMA) preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Active Listening: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to actively listen to patients and provide clear instructions.
  • Social Perceptiveness: Strong social skills, with the ability to understand and respond to the emotional needs of patients.
  • Monitoring: Ability to monitor patient conditions, identifying potential issues and taking prompt action when necessary.
