About the Role

Southern Airways Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Airport Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key representative of our airline, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our passengers, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), airline, and airport regulations.
  • Enforce safety and security measures, protecting sensitive areas and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Create and modify reservations, checking in passengers, and handling luggage.
  • Provide accurate information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements.
  • Process credit card payments and direct aircraft parking and dispatch on the ramp.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring mechanical equipment is in proper order.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to learn and communicate the terms of the company's Contract of Carriage.
  • Courteous and able to interact effectively with passengers, coworkers, and management.
  • Ability to maintain composure and control emotions in difficult situations.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn reservation and phone systems.
  • Basic math abilities.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including holidays.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
Work Environment

The Airport Customer Service Representative will work in a fast-paced airport environment, interacting with passengers, coworkers, and management. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 70 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
