Women's Health Machine Learning Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Data Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on Women's Health. This role will involve developing and commercializing novel machine learning models and algorithms.

About the Role
  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning pipelines and models for Women's Health features.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of scientists, product managers, software developers, product designers, test engineers, etc., to bring value to our members.
  • Deliver robust statistical analyses of machine learning models and algorithms for performance evaluation, monitoring, and drawing insights to support product decisions.
  • Conduct early-stage exploratory research to identify and characterize new potential health sensing features and functionality, and develop proof-of-concept features that can be taken from prototype to commercialized product.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, biostatistics, computer science or a related field, OR a Master degree in related fields with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with multiple machine learning and statistical modeling approaches.
  • A strong understanding of probability and statistics.
  • Experience developing and validating time-series algorithms.
  • A self-driven, motivated, pragmatic, and delivery-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to summarize and clearly articulate your work and thinking process to both technical and non-technical team members.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Salary Range: Region 1: $166,500 - $185,000; Region 2: $158,175 - $175,750; Region 3: $149,850 - $166,500
