Role Overview

We're seeking a highly experienced Principal Designer to drive design strategies that fuel user engagement and business growth. As a key member of our Social Commerce Team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and designed to scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and define the design process for entire user experiences, from inception to launch.
  • Establish and drive design strategies and philosophies, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Mentor and guide senior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create cohesive and seamless user experiences.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15–20 years of experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership in innovative projects.
  • Expertise in one core area of design and strong skills in two others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex design concepts and strategies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Origami, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills, including strategic planning and mentorship.
  • Ability to work closely with executive teams and other leadership within the company.

We're committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $190,000-$260,000 on the West Coast. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate expertise, the scope of the role, and level.
