Support Services Coordinator

As a leading provider of services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we are seeking highly skilled and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. Located in Chattanooga, TN, this full-time and part-time opportunity offers a competitive salary, with an estimated starting rate of $15.35 per hour and additional $1.00 shift differential for weekends.

Job Responsibilities- Facilitate consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
- Provide direct support to and assist consumers in training activities as specified in ISPs and activity schedules.
- Aid in mobility as needed for those using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
- Assist in bedroom maintenance and teach housekeeping skills and care of clothing.
- Assist with meal service, teaching dining skills and promoting social skills and personal dignity during meals.
- Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
- Assigned as a Primary Person (P2) for one or more consumers, ensuring the wellbeing at all times of the consumer(s).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school education or its equivalent preferred.
- Some previous experience in supporting/assisting those with disabilities preferred.
- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
