Health Information Management Specialist

The Health Information Management Specialist at Mountain Park Health Center plays a vital role in ensuring the effective management and use of health information for patient care, records requests, and other document policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing and processing medical records, including transcription, document imaging, and release of information.
- Preparing and processing requests for copies of health records or other documents from patients, insurance companies, and other authorized parties.
- Ensuring completion of all forms in a timely manner and obtaining appropriate signatures from authorized parties.
- Assigning incoming documents according to workflow and providing patient services and assistance related to HIMS departmental functions.
- Completing all document management activity and performing document imaging functions as required.
Requirements include:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Valid driver's license.
- One (1) year of electronic health record (EHR) experience and basic understanding of medical terminology.
This role requires regular and predictable attendance and may involve travel to multiple Mountain Park Health Center facilities.
