Senior Software Engineering Position for Complex Programs

Are you looking to contribute to a dynamic and challenging program that drives impactful results? Leidos is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (SWE-3) to join our growing task. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to design and prototype innovative software solutions within an Agile team structure.

The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems using documented requirements. As part of our fast-paced team, you will work individually or collaboratively to analyze user needs, debug existing software, and provide recommendations for improving documentation and development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Debug existing software and correct defects
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  • Write or review software and system documentation
  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project
  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

Compensation:

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $122,200.00 - $220,900.00, based on qualifications and experience. Note that this is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
