Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Technologist to perform diagnostic studies, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and conduct nuclear medicine, PET, and CT examinations as requested by physicians. The ideal candidate will have experience in nuclear medicine and maintain technical competency through continued education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and explain procedures in a clear and concise manner
  • Review patients' medical history prior to procedures to ensure accurate diagnosis
  • Perform diagnostic studies using scanners or scintillation cameras to produce high-quality images
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical materials in accordance with established protocols
  • Position and monitor patients during examinations to ensure comfort and safety
  • Measure radioactivity and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety techniques to protect patients and staff
  • Document procedures for regulatory compliance and quality assurance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in nuclear medicine
  • Graduate of a certified/accredited ARRT program
  • Specialized training in Nuclear Medicine
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Computed Tomography
  • Basic Life Support Certification

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform all procedures and processes as determined by the employer
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, clients, and coworkers
  • Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience performing PET-CT examinations
