About the Role:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a skilled Clinical Assistant to join our Student Health Services team in Arlington. As a Clinical Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording patient intake, including vital signs, allergies, and medications
  • Performing essential procedures, such as ear lavage, EKGs, and basic first aid
  • Assisting providers during procedures and chaperoning sensitive exams
  • Following OSHA safety practices and maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients

Requirements:

  • Medical Assistant certification or equivocal training and experience
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Experience in a medical office, hospital, or healthcare setting
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record and Telehealth
