About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a 13-week contract position that requires the successful candidate to work as an independent contractor.

Job Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer will be responsible for conducting multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures. This role requires the ability to work under limited direction and adhere to strict protocols while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations for various specialties
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A certificate or diploma from an accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology
  • National certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Licensure by the state regulatory agency (if applicable)
  • Advanced certification in specialty (RVT/RCS/RDCS) within 18 months of hire (if applicable)
  • BLS certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
