Constructors Inc., a leading heavy highway paving company, is seeking a skilled Tack Truck Driver to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating a tack truck to distribute oil on road surfaces, ensuring proper distribution of material. Additionally, they will perform general labor tasks as needed to assist the crew.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving a tack truck to destination, adhering to commercial driving regulations and demonstrating skill in maneuvering the vehicle in difficult situations.
  • Operating the tack truck to spray oil on road surfaces and ensuring proper distribution.
  • Inspecting the truck, equipment, and supplies before and after trips, submitting a report indicating the truck's condition and needs.
  • Safely loading hot oil, up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit, into the tank truck for distribution.
  • Regularly lifting a hose weighing up to 50 pounds that may contain hot oil.
  • Operating other equipment, such as a skid loader, broom, and loader, to assist with grinding and prepping the road for asphalt.
  • Observing and practicing safety standards and policies of the department.

Requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous driving experience handling large trucks and equipment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Tanker and Air Brakes endorsements, or the ability to obtain endorsements with provided training.

This is a seasonal and order demand schedule position, requiring regular travel to various locations within Nebraska. The successful candidate must be able to regularly pull or lift materials up to 50 pounds.
