Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Financial Controls to join our headquarters team at Metis Technology Solutions, Inc. As an authentically women-owned business, we provide engineering services supporting aviation and space systems development and operations.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing processes and controls related to accounting, budgeting, pricing, forecasting, cost tracking, payroll, and financial operations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of how government contractors operate, including unique financial challenges, contract reporting requirements, and cost accounting standards (CAS) specific to NASA, DoD, and Space Force.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting practices that meet government regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports to the government, other government contractors, and external entities.
  • Manage program funds and margins, ensuring compliance with government contract terms and conditions.
  • Provide expertise in Deltek Costpoint, as used in government contracting.
  • Lead a team of financial professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a prime contractor and subcontractor.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and compliance with government regulations.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as an MBA or Master's in Finance.
  • Proven experience managing a team and overseeing financial operations.
  • Knowledge of government-specific cost accounting standards (CAS) and how they apply to government contracts.
