The University of Virginia, a renowned institution in the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Support Professional to join its esteemed team. The successful candidate will be part of the vibrant Anesthesiology Department, contributing to delivering exceptional patient care.

Role Overview

This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with departmental faculty, trainees, and CRNAs, providing administrative support in the clinical environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing materials for meetings and presentations;
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars;
  • Providing excellent customer service and responding to inquiries;
  • Assisting with data entry, document management, and other administrative tasks;
  • Supporting library and PubMed searches, as well as creating PowerPoint presentations;

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative role;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;

A bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

The University of Virginia provides a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. This is a Non-Exempt level, benefited position, offering a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
