Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Dining Room Host/Hostess to join our team at WKS Restaurant Group. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival, verifying the number in their party and determining special needs.
  • Collects payment from guests in accordance with established cash handling procedures, inquiring about food and service satisfaction and handling customer complaints and suggestions appropriately.
  • Seats guests at tables or booths, introducing feature of the day and ensuring a pleasant and courteous dining experience.
  • Keeps the hostess area stocked and clean, replenishing to-go items and bakery products as needed.
  • Handles incoming telephone calls and takes to-go orders as necessary.
  • Maintains a proper supply of clean menus and provides beverages and refills as requested.
  • Assists service personnel in cleaning and setting tables, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
  • Resolves customer complaints and notifies the manager of any issues received.
  • Assists other service personnel as needed to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Accountabilities:

  • Guests are greeted and seated in a timely and courteous manner, following company timing standards.
  • Guest check transactions are handled properly, ensuring register totals balance at the end of the shift.

Qualification Standards:

  • Ability to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with guests.
  • Flexibility and reliability to meet the demands of a fast-paced dining environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to move and operate in the work area, with sufficient mobility to perform duties.
  • Ability to observe and ensure product is prepared and presented to company standards.
  • Compliance with state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.
