Job Description

St. Augustine Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Dean of Student Success to join our Elementary School leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping and sustaining our school culture, ensuring that students internalize our values for academic excellence and behavior expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully impacting student achievement and working with students who have the greatest needs. You will be responsible for promoting attitudes, behaviors, and skills for improved learning, including behavior modification, attendance, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance, behavior, and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, social workers, and parents to provide wraparound support and follow-through for students who are not meeting expectations.
  • Collect and manage data on school culture metrics, including attendance, promotion requirements, academics, social-emotional well-being, and behavior.
  • Intervene and mediate behavior situations, working with teachers, social workers, and parents to determine student success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience teaching or social work, with a strong track record of successfully impacting student achievement.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues, including the ability to create and nurture a professional community of adult learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including high-impact facilitation of meetings and presentations.
