Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Commercial Services

Join our team of financial experts at ALG Vacations, a leading leisure travel company, as a Senior Financial Analyst - Commercial Services. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the annual Sales & Marketing budget, analyzing marketing contracts to forecast expenses, and reconciling all sales & marketing expenses budget vs. forecast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track, process, and reconcile financial commitments and activity on a monthly basis; maintain records and monitor correspondence; develop/prepare reports and related budget management functions.
  • Work independently with departments on budget changes, enhancements, or reductions.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and as needed reports to Marketing Budget Manager detailing all expense reconciliation and balance to date.
  • Prepare and reconcile SAP report against tracked expenses monthly.
  • Deliver reporting on revenue projections, budget, or expenditure forecasts.
  • Maintain, allocate, process, and track all daily expense invoices.
  • Work independently and corresponds with all departments, global sales agencies, and resorts on invoicing, budget adjustments, and all applicable budget matters.
  • Review and comprehend all Sales & Marketing contracts, agreements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure management and reconciliation of hotel expenses and provision reporting with accounting department.
  • Monitor ongoing tracking of forecasted marketing expenses and reduction of forecasts as invoices are paid.
  • Manage vendor relationships - on-time payments, banking information, etc.
  • Act as the liaison between Sales, Marketing, and Accounting departments.
  • Assist with all other responsibilities and reporting as needed throughout the year.
  • Reconcile monthly/quarterly invoices for Global Sales Agencies commissions and Partner overrides.
  • Approve invoices & allocations processed by Marketing Budget Coordinators.
  • Manage the implementation of new SAP software for Tracking and Reporting of Sales & Marketing Budget.
  • Collaborate with Executive team and support staff on budget requests and forecasting expenditures making recommendations for changes in budgeting areas.
  • Provide ROI analysis, reports, and future recommendations.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff assisting with budget development.
  • Educate all team members on SAP and manage the relationship with SAP.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years accounting and/or marketing experience.
  • Reconciliation and reporting experience.
  • Industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, Report Design, and Most Excel Formulas.
  • Exceptional time management with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize the variety of projects and assignments requiring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to achieve defined objectives with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently.
  • Good organizational skills, proactive, and self-motivated.
