Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Hawaii State Department of Education. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans to address communication needs
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student communication
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field, as well as a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a valid State of Hawaii Speech Pathologist license. You must also have at least one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, with progressively responsible work experience in a school setting.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work in a school setting, providing services to students with communication disorders. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other professionals.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $5,830.19 per month for Speech Language Pathologist II, $6,322.81 per month for Speech Language Pathologist III, and $6,697.32 per month for Speech Language Pathologist IV. You will also be eligible for benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
