Sanitation Technician I

Job Summary

The Sanitation I position at Litehouse is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in our food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies.

Clean and sanitize tanks or other food storage containers, and maintain a clean and organized work area to meet or exceed environmental and plant requirements.

Inspect completed tasks to verify conformance to specifications, including required paperwork and documentation.

Utilize tools, chemicals, cleaning equipment, water, and other items to perform duties, adhering to Food Safety policies and reporting any concerns to a supervisor.

Maintain a clean work area and participate in housekeeping throughout the facility and grounds.

Work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements, with the ability to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas professionally, effectively, and efficiently in the common language.

Ability to access and identify mechanical and/or electrical problems during disassembly and reassembly of equipment.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Compute basic mathematical calculations, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside the company.

Ability to multi-task, focus, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

The employee will be required to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and lifting, as well as working in a fast-paced environment with potential hazards associated with working in a food manufacturing facility.

The employee must be able to pass a background check and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
