HCA Florida Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a challenging Med Surg role in Sun City Center, Florida. About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN with a strong background in acute care settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team, and acting as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about patients' medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
