Job Summary

As a Perfusionist at Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in the cardiovascular surgical team. Your expertise will be essential in assisting the team during various cardiac surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the surgeon and anesthesiologist, you will construct the bypass circuit according to OR standards of sterile technique. You will then place the patient on bypass and ensure clinical perfusion is met according to calculated flows determined by the patient's weight, height, age, and cardiac index.

You will interpret various parameters, including blood gas values, electrolyte balance, blood pressure, urinary output, gas, and blood flow, and fluid shifts. You will pass on this information to the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records that are timely and complete.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of perfusion and hold a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) certification.
