Purpose & Scope:

The physician is a vital member of the healthcare team, collaborating with other staff to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The scope of practice for each physician is defined through the health system's credentialing and privileging committee. As a physician at VHC Health, you will support objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level. You will also contribute to the implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner
  • Support all medical activities, including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs
  • Collaborate with other staff to deliver comprehensive healthcare services
  • Support objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level
Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school
  • One year of medical/surgical experience
  • Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
