Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Nutritionist for Children to join our team at The Learning Experience. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious meals for children that meet proper nutritional requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs of our young students, ensuring all meals meet or exceed nutritional standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, tracking consumption and waste to optimize ordering and minimize costs.
  • Work closely with our center leadership to source high-quality ingredients, adhering to local health codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure effective communication regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on the latest nutrition trends and best practices.
  • Support the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to strict sanitation and safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in nutrition, food science, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably in a childcare setting.
  • Possession of a valid food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Compensation:
$15.00 per hour
