At Union Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant/LPN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be able to work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to provide high-quality care to our patients.

The LPN/CMA will be responsible for conducting routine physical assessments, contributing to patient care plans, and assisting with patient education. They will also be expected to follow company policies and procedures, as well as department protocols.

Qualifications for this role include a graduate degree from an accredited program for Certified Medical Assistants, Registered Medical Assistants, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistants. The ideal candidate will also have a CMA, RMA, or CCMA certificate, as well as previous experience as a CMA or LPN.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients
  • Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
  • Contributes to plan of care for pre-defined patient problems.
  • Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
  • Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
  • Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
  • Assists the physician with special procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited program for Certified Medical Assistants, Registered Medical Assistants, or Certified Clinical Medical Assistants preferred but not required
  • Must have CMA, RMA or CCMA certificate
  • Previous CMA experience preferred
  • Graduate from a one-year Practical Nursing Program
  • Previous LPN experience preferred

License/Certification:

  • BLS certification
  • CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (CMA Applicant)
  • Indiana LPN license

Position Details:

8a-8pm
