Safety Coordinator

At B&D Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. The primary role of this position is to provide support to site safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, and drive safety directives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support trainings based on an analysis of employees showing an area of training is needed
- Support and work with site Safety Professional
- Safety management of people, supplies, equipment, and B&D's Behavior Base Safety Program (BBS)
- Review and communicate BBS monthly for company reporting
- Safety counseling and coaching to employees to provide ideas on how to complete a job and/or project in a safe manner
- Ensuring all employees have current OSHA training
- Creating and providing trainings based on analysis of employee function as needed
- Monthly maintenance and reporting of BBS for company reporting
- Conducting toolbox talks for small to large groups of staff
- Creating and reviewing safety plans
- Documenting work observations
- Analyzing safety data
- Input and track safety records
- Managing and reporting incidents
- Maintaining company and government compliance
- Preventing workplace health and safety hazards
- Designing and implementing frameworks for risk management
- Managing change regarding organization-wide initiatives
- Researching and strategizing emerging and complex risks
- Collaborating across the business on varying enterprises
Requirements:
- High School degree
- Certification(s) in safety-related field - OSHA 30
- Relevant work experience may substitute for the certificate(s)
Physical Demands:
- Long hours of sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing
Job Requirements:
- Intermediate computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skills
