Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Caregiver to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited (CP Unlimited). As a Residential Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and care of individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in our residential program.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement individualized programs and staff action plans in accordance with each person's Life Plan, utilizing a person-centered approach to ensure their well-being and care.
  2. Perform activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, meal preparation, and lifting or transferring activities, as needed.
  3. Administer medications and treatments according to doctors' orders and delegated tasks under the clinical supervision of an RN.
  4. Accompany individuals to community activities, medical appointments, and other applicable activities, promoting socialization and community integration.
  5. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the residence by performing general housekeeping duties, including mopping, dusting, and laundry.
  6. Document and recordkeeping practices for each assigned residence, including cash journals, ledgers, medication counts, and household logs.
  7. Prepare meals for individuals supported, following their individualized diet and menu plan, and encourage participation in mealtime preparations.
  8. Administer medications and/or treatments, and document accordingly on each person's Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  9. Attend and actively participate in required training sessions, maintaining certifications as needed.
  10. Know, understand, and follow the DSP Code of Ethics and meet the expectations and standards of the DSP Core Competencies.
