Job Summary

This role is part of our SETA team and involves analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with defined system architecture(s).
  • Contribute to development of systems engineering documentation like System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
  • Assist in developing system requirements, functional requirements, and allocating these to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
  • Cross-discipline coordination on Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams designing new capabilities considering all necessary development and operational considerations.
  • Allocate real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components.
  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
  • Define verification methods and processes for systems, subsystems, and work products against their requirements.
  • Develop system design solutions satisfying system requirements and fulfilling functional analysis.
  • Review and provide input to program and contract Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), work packages, and Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
  • Interface definition, design, and changes to configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.
  • Derive stakeholder needs, implied functions, and lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements.
  • Establish and gain approval for system or component definitions, including requirements, designs, interfaces, test procedures, etc.
  • Implement comprehensive SOA solutions.
  • Apply DoDAF standards for operational view, technical standards view, and system and services view.
  • Verify system engineering documentation meets system needs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and comprehensiveness.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in related disciplines like System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or equivalent from an accredited college/university.
Level 1 Requirements
  • Seven years' experience as SE in similar scope, type, and complexity programs and contracts.
Level 2 Requirements
  • Fourteen years' experience as SE in similar scope, type, and complexity programs and contracts.
Level 3 Requirements
  • Twenty years' experience as SE in similar scope, type, and complexity programs and contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $260,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including Health/Dental/Vision, 401k, PTO, holiday pay, disability, and life insurance.
