About the Role

The Reliability Engineer - Facilities Management will coordinate and supervise assigned engineering support activities for client facilities. This includes providing direct supervision for staff under HVAC, Electrical, Controls, Plumbing, and General Maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects/services and the development of policies and procedures pertaining to all types of buildings managed by CBRE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical SME for a large portfolio of Life Sciences Office, Research & Development, and manufacturing facilities in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to respond to account needs for support, including on-site operational solving, corrective action plans, report out, client interface, and on-site implementation support.
  • Drives technical and interpersonal support and leadership to drive engineering initiatives and implement standard processes to ensure proactive measures are being taken for continuous improvement.
  • Facilitates a vibration, ultrasonic, and thermography program for facility operational equipment and utility systems.
  • Leads all aspects of engineering for the account; develops and leads initiatives that drive equipment uptime reliability & reduce maintenance spend.
  • Responsible for new business development, including identification of opportunities, client solicitation, proposal development, and presentation.
  • Define, develops, monitor, and refines an asset's maintenance plan that includes beneficial preventative maintenance tasks, effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies crafted to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
  • Works with operations teams to optimize equipment maintenance strategies through analyses of equipment criticality, remaining useful life, and other parameters that define equipment condition and reliability.
  • Ensures the delivery of accuracy, timely, and complete reports. Performs regular inspections of properties.
  • Develops risk management plans that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
  • Drives efficiencies around maintenance strategies and planning & scheduling optimize critical asset reliability and reduce work order backlog.
  • Develop and review sector wide performance metrics. Provide leadership for technical savings programs, Change Control, and meaningful metric integration and management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Previous leadership required.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or PE designation preferred.
  • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies such as Preventative Maintenance optimization, Asset Criticality development and Life Cycle Asset Management.
  • Experience with instrumentation & control, computerized maintenance management systems required. Knowledge of Building Automation Systems experience.
  • Multi-functional leadership skills, client facing as well as working alongside our maintenance personnel, and able to build specific objectives and strategies around continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a Life Sciences/ GMP and/ or regulated environment preferred.
