Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our ophthalmologists in delivering top-notch medical services.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of related experience or training. Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic testing, including dilation, refraction, pressures, and performing various diagnostic tests.
  • Record patient data, medical history, and current medications, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred
Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, dental, and life insurance, 401k with employer matching, paid time off, and paid holidays.
