Job Overview

The Governor's Prevention Partnership is a nonprofit organization seeking a skilled Graphic Design and Social Media Specialist to enhance our digital presence through compelling graphic design and social engagement. This role requires a motivated self-starter who can take initiative, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality visual content for marketing and program materials, including print collateral, advertising, social media, and promotional products.
  • Plan and develop engaging social media content using photography, videography, and graphic design, adhering to the organization's brand and values.
  • Edit and format various materials, such as agendas, handouts, brochures, letters, and other documents as needed.
  • Manage design projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop creative concepts and ideas that support the overall brand strategy.
  • Contribute to content development and provide writing and proofreading support.
  • Maintain an up-to-date online database of photo and print assets, ensuring easy access and consistent usage across communications.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative and effective design work.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability to create engaging content that drives interest and engagement.
  • Possess graphic design skills, proficiency in layout, design, and photo and video editing technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is required, with experience in Canva being a plus.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of social media management tools and web publishing platforms is an asset.
  • Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $65,000 per year
