Job Title: Senior Research Engineer - Advanced Technology & Rapid Prototyping
Location: North Charleston SC, San Diego, CA, DC/metro Area with flexibility with remote and hybrid teleworking.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Engineer to lead research, analysis, and development efforts in C4ISR systems integration and autonomous technologies.
The Senior Research Engineer will focus on designing, developing, and integrating advanced technologies to ensure system security, cyber-resiliency, and operational effectiveness across a range of defense applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, and assess integration of C4ISR and sensor systems and subsystems.
- Develop prototype deployable communications, datalink, and sensor systems.
- Implement and verify communication capability between devices, databases, and services with Government approval.
- Assess system security and cyber-resiliency throughout the life cycle of C4ISR systems.
- Develop recommendations for security controls, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Research and recommend a standardized framework for C4ISR products and cyber operations reporting.
- Conduct analysis and development for new or improved autonomous systems and technologies.
- Develop engineering plans, system design plans, and requirements analysis for unmanned capabilities.
- Research and recommend communication networking and infrastructure strategies for autonomous systems.
- Perform research and development in open architecture, sensor integration, network design, and data processing.
- Conduct engineering analysis, AoAs, and risk mitigation recommendations for hardware and software integration.
- Collaborate with Government designers and engineers to resolve design and implementation challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 13+ years of experience in C4ISR systems integration, cybersecurity, and autonomous technologies.
- Strong expertise in open architecture, sensor integration, network design, and data processing.
- Experience with rapid prototyping, testing, and field deployment of communications and sensor systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, vulnerability assessments, and risk management strategies.
- Individual may require 8140 / 8570 baseline certifications based on actual job duties.
- Active Secret clearance.
